Is there a US version of the Daiwa BJ Sniper MT Hechi?
We could not find the BJ Sniper MT Hechi by name in Daiwa’s 2026-27 US catalog (printed, July 2026), so the sizes and specs on this page are the Japan-market ones. Sellers who ship from Japan are the usual source for this exact model in the US; a US dealer may still carry a related model under a different name.

About this item
What the maker's numbers say about this model:
- The shortest packed length is 111 cm (43.7 in) (Metal Tune Hechi 280).
- Weights run from 143 g (5.0 oz) on the Metal Tune Hechi 280 to 168 g (5.9 oz) on the Metal Tune Hechi Kiwami 310.
- At 168 g, the Metal Tune Hechi Kiwami 310 is the lightest 3.10 m (10'2") rod we list (of 24 at that length).

- Japan list price ¥55,500–¥57,000, which is in the upper-middle of the price range of the 1440 rod series we list.
- Rated by Daiwa for sinkers #0.5–#3 (1.88–11.25 g).
- Long telescopic rods used from rocks and harbour walls.
- Sizes marked go (号) are the Japanese standard. For sinkers one go is exactly 3.75 g, so we convert it; for line it is a diameter class rather than a breaking strain, so we print the maker's number as published.
