Is there a US version of the Daiwa Emeraldas AIR?
We could not find the Emeraldas AIR by name in Daiwa’s 2026-27 US catalog (printed, July 2026), so the sizes and specs on this page are the Japan-market ones. Sellers who ship from Japan are the usual source for this exact model in the US; a US dealer may still carry a related model under a different name.

About this item
What the maker's numbers say about this model:
- The Emeraldas AIR 86M·K: 2.59 m (8'6") long, 2 pieces, 133 cm (52.4 in) folded, weighs 86 g (3.0 oz), PE line #0.4–1.0 (maker's figures).

- The shortest packed length is 117 cm (46.1 in) (75MLM·K).
- Weights run from 70 g (2.5 oz) on the 75UL-S·K to 93 g (3.3 oz) on the 86MH·K.
- At 78 g, the 78M·K is the lightest 2.34 m (7'8") rod we list (of 34 at that length).
- PE line rating 0.3–1.2.
- Carbon content 97–99% depending on the model.
- Japan list price ¥62,000–¥65,000, which is in the top quarter (by Japan list price) of the 1440 rod series we list.
- Rated by Daiwa for PE line #0.3–#1.2.
- Casting an "egi" squid jig from the shore — a Japanese style now popular worldwide.
- Sizes marked go (号) are the Japanese standard. For sinkers one go is exactly 3.75 g, so we convert it; for line it is a diameter class rather than a breaking strain, so we print the maker's number as published.
- Specs are Daiwa's published figures; conversions to imperial are ours.
