Is there a US version of the Daiwa Emeraldas EX BOAT?
We could not find the Emeraldas EX BOAT by name in Daiwa’s 2026-27 US catalog (printed, July 2026), so the sizes and specs on this page are the Japan-market ones. Sellers who ship from Japan are the usual source for this exact model in the US; a US dealer may still carry a related model under a different name.

About this item
What the maker's numbers say about this model:
- The shortest packed length is 94 cm (37.0 in) (511LS-SMT·W).
- Weights run from 75 g (2.6 oz) on the 511LS-SMT·W to 102 g (3.6 oz) on the 64MB-SMT·W.
- PE line rating 0.4–1.
- Carbon content 96–99% depending on the model.
- Japan list price ¥72,500–¥95,000, which is in the top quarter (by Japan list price) of the 1440 rod series we list.
- Rated by Daiwa for PE line #0.4–#1.
- Casting an "egi" squid jig from the shore — a Japanese style now popular worldwide.
- Sizes marked go (号) are the Japanese standard. For sinkers one go is exactly 3.75 g, so we convert it; for line it is a diameter class rather than a breaking strain, so we print the maker's number as published.
- Specs are Daiwa's published figures; conversions to imperial are ours.
How the sizes differ
- The 7 sizes run from 1.8 m to 2.18 m, weigh 75–102 g and list at ¥72,500–¥95,000 in Japan.
