Is there a US version of the Daiwa Goutetsu?
We could not find the Goutetsu by name in Daiwa’s 2026-27 US catalog (printed, July 2026), so the sizes and specs on this page are the Japan-market ones. Sellers who ship from Japan are the usual source for this exact model in the US; a US dealer may still carry a related model under a different name.

- The shortest packed length is 117 cm (46.1 in) (H-50·W).
- Weights run from 395 g (13.9 oz) on the MH-50·W to 485 g (17.1 oz) on the HH-50·W.
- 99% carbon.
- Japan list price ¥89,000–¥97,000, which is in the top quarter (by Japan list price) of the 1440 rod series we list.
- Rated by Daiwa for sinkers #10–#20 (37.5–75 g).
- Long telescopic rods used from rocks and harbour walls.
- Sizes marked go (号) are the Japanese standard. For sinkers one go is exactly 3.75 g, so we convert it; for line it is a diameter class rather than a breaking strain, so we print the maker's number as published.
