About this item
What the maker's numbers say about this model:
- The Iprimi 65L-S: 1.96 m (6'5") long, 2 pieces, 101 cm (39.8 in) folded, weighs 69 g (2.4 oz), lure weight 0.8–5 g (0.03–0.18 oz), nylon 2–6 lb (maker's figures).
- 10 models from 1.68 m (5'6") to 1.99 m (6'6"), in 2- to 4-piece builds.
- The shortest packed length is 50 cm (19.7 in) (60XUL―4).
- Weights run from 59 g (2.1 oz) on the 56XXUL―S to 78 g (2.8 oz) on the 64ML.
- At 78 g, the 64ML is the lightest 1.94 m (6'4") rod we list (of 4 at that length).
- Rated for lures from 0.4 g to 7 g (0.01–0.25 oz) across the range.
- Carbon content 82–88% depending on the model.
- Japan list price ¥16,500–¥18,700, which is in the bottom quarter (by Japan list price) of the 1440 rod series we list.
- Rated by Daiwa for lures 0.4–7 g (0.01–0.25 oz).
- Sizes marked go (号) are the Japanese standard. For sinkers one go is exactly 3.75 g, so we convert it; for line it is a diameter class rather than a breaking strain, so we print the maker's number as published.
- Specs are Daiwa's published figures; conversions to imperial are ours.

Japan version vs export version
The Daiwa 2026-27 US catalog lists the Iprimi LT spinning reel but no Iprimi rods, so the Iprimi rods on this page are Japan-market models. Source: Daiwa 2026-27 overseas catalog (printed), p.32-33.
