Is there a US version of the Daiwa Kuromuku?
We could not find the Kuromuku by name in Daiwa’s 2026-27 US catalog (printed, July 2026), so the sizes and specs on this page are the Japan-market ones. Sellers who ship from Japan are the usual source for this exact model in the US; a US dealer may still carry a related model under a different name.

About this item
What the maker's numbers say about this model:
- The shortest packed length is 76 cm (29.9 in) (7·Y).
- Weights run from 40 g (1.4 oz) on the 7·Y to 110 g (3.9 oz) on the 15·Y.
- Carbon content 94–98% depending on the model.
- Japan list price ¥69,000–¥117,000, which is in the top quarter (by Japan list price) of the 1440 rod series we list.
- Sizes marked go (号) are the Japanese standard. For sinkers one go is exactly 3.75 g, so we convert it; for line it is a diameter class rather than a breaking strain, so we print the maker's number as published.
- Specs are Daiwa's published figures; conversions to imperial are ours.
How the sizes differ
- The 9 sizes run from 2.1 m to 4.5 m, weigh 40–110 g and list at ¥69,000–¥117,000 in Japan.
