Is there a US version of the Daiwa Seiryu X?
We could not find the Seiryu X by name in Daiwa’s 2026-27 US catalog (printed, July 2026), so the sizes and specs on this page are the Japan-market ones. Sellers who ship from Japan are the usual source for this exact model in the US; a US dealer may still carry a related model under a different name.

About this item
What the maker's numbers say about this model:
- The shortest packed length is 58 cm (22.8 in) (X Kocho 35).
- Weights run from 47 g (1.7 oz) on the X Kocho 35 to 134 g (4.7 oz) on the X Kocho 64.
- At 47 g, the X Kocho 35 is the lightest 3.51 m (11'6") rod we list (of 5 at that length).
- Carbon content 97–98% depending on the model.
- Japan list price ¥13,000–¥17,000, which is in the bottom quarter (by Japan list price) of the 1440 rod series we list.
- Short rods for small mountain streams (keiryu).
- Sizes marked go (号) are the Japanese standard. For sinkers one go is exactly 3.75 g, so we convert it; for line it is a diameter class rather than a breaking strain, so we print the maker's number as published.
