Herabuna & carp
41 rod series from 4 Japanese makers, 0.85 m (2'9") to 9.60 m (31'6").
Herabuna is a catch-and-release crucian carp game fished with very long, delicate poles. Note that these are not European carp rods.
The makers file these under Herabuna & carp(へらぶな・コイ(カープ) / ヘラ鮒・鯉 / へら)、Carp. We only group the makers’ own categories together — we do not decide what a rod is for.
How to choose
Herabuna rods are measured in shaku (1 shaku = 30.3 cm); a 12-shaku rod is about 3.6 m. Choose the length to suit the pond and the depth, and look at the weight figure: a lighter rod is easier to hold all day. These rods have no reel.
